When extreme durability, performance, and deployment flexibility matters most, the Court Armor Tile gym floor cover system is the only choice to cover your gym floor. Court Armor Tile lets you turn your gymnasium into a Concert Hall, Convention Center or other multi-use venue without the worry of damage to your gym floor. On top of offering elite protection for your gym floor, Court Armor Tile has an anti-microbial top cloth that helps prevent mold and odors, is easy to clean, and has acoustic dampening qualities that help reduce echo and reverb.
Deploying
Laying down Court Armor Tile is simple, however, there are multiple ways to deploy it depending on the size and shape of the gym floor to be covered. While there are several ways to arrange the tiles, there are a few suggested patterns. The fewer continuous seams, the less likely the chance of the tiles moving will be.
We recommend having at least two people to deploy Court Armor Tile. More people can speed up the process. With two individuals, a full basketball court can be covered in less than an hour.
Begin the process by rolling the Tile Storage Cart over to where you will start laying down the tiles. It’s recommended to using the game lines or any other straight line as a guide to laying down the carpet tiles. Using your pattern of choice, begin deploying your Court Armor Tile, making sure the tiles are snug with one another, leaving no gap between them. Once your basketball court is properly covered, it is then protected for whatever your gym has now become, whether it’s a dance floor, seating for graduation, an ROTC event, dinner or gala, or any other event you may have.
Cleaning
Court Armor Tile can be cleaned both during and after use. The most effective way to clean your carpet tile system is by simply vacuuming it, the same way you would vacuum any other carpeted area. If you encounter a tough stain that won’t come out with a vacuum, you can use a carpet cleaning extractor to remove the stain. As with any textile, before using any cleaner or chemical on the carpet tile, test in a small area first to ensure there is no discoloration.
Storing
Storing Court Armor Tile is straightforward:
- Stack the first tile on the Tile Storage Cart with the carpet side up.
- Place the next tile carpet side down, so the carpet sides face each other.
- Repeat this process until the cart is full.
This stacking method protects the top cloth and maintains its quality over time.
While the top cloth is anti-microbial protected to prevent mildew and odors, you should ensure the carpet tiles are completely dry before storage to prevent.
After loading the tiles and moving the cart to the storage area, remove the cart handle to prevent bending or deforming the tile edges during storage.
